CheckTheTime provides a free world clock service that displays current times across different timezones, along with sunrise, sunset, and other solar information. The service is provided "as is" for informational purposes.
Accuracy of Information
While we strive to provide accurate time and solar data:
- Time displays are synchronized with your device's clock and may vary slightly from atomic time.
- Timezone data is based on the IANA Time Zone Database and may occasionally lag behind recent changes.
- Solar calculations (sunrise, sunset, etc.) are mathematical approximations and may differ from observed times by a few minutes.
- We do not guarantee the accuracy of any information displayed and are not liable for decisions made based on this data.
Permitted Use
You may use CheckTheTime for personal, non-commercial purposes. You agree not to:
- Use automated systems to scrape or extract data from our service
- Attempt to interfere with the proper functioning of the service
- Use the service for any unlawful purpose
- Redistribute our service or its content without permission
Intellectual Property
The CheckTheTime name, logo, and original content are our intellectual property. City and timezone data is sourced from GeoNames under the Creative Commons Attribution License. Solar calculations use the open-source SunCalc library.

Our service may contain links to third-party websites or services. We are not responsible for the content, privacy policies, or practices of any third-party sites or services.
Limitation of Liability
CheckTheTime and its creators shall not be liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages arising from your use of the service. This includes, but is not limited to, damages for loss of profits, data, or other intangible losses.
Service Availability
We do not guarantee that the service will be available at all times. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue the service at any time without notice.
